My name is Clare McCullough and I am currently a student at Marquette University studying for a bachelor’s degree in political science with an Asian studies minor. I am proactive and pay attention to the details. I love to paint, draw, and take photos as well as writing articles in my free time on my blog, www.makingmellow.com
My degree concentration at Marquette University is focused on political economy and public policy which are both issues that are key to understanding the complex dynamics of both international and domestic issues. I always take initiative, choosing to lead by example, as a result was the Event Coordinator for the Marquette’s College Democrats of Wisconsin and for the group of Students for an Environmentally Active Campus. Before interning at the League of Conservation Voters I put in over 100 hours of volunteer work and data collection to that nonpartisan political organization. I have interned at the Milwaukee Justice Center showing that I am committed to contributing all I can to my local community as well as gaining legal skills. Not only am I proficient in Mandarin, I am driven, a strong communicator, and a quick study. I have a high level of emotional intelligence as well as a sincere love for public service and for the environment.
